Our Story

About our founder...

My name is Robert Reynolds. Before Christ I was a 17-year drug addict and career criminal. I was diagnosed with severe depression, bipolar disorder, borderline paranoid schizophrenia. I was sentenced to 10 years in prison in 2007. It was there that I met Jesus in a face-to-face encounter where He delivered me from all addictions and diagnoses. I was completely healed and set free.
Upon my release in 2011 I set forth seeking the path the Lord had for me. I met my wife, and we now reside in Augusta WV. We have 5 children in total. Three girls; Brooke (29), Carli (19), and Bailey (18). Still at home with us are our two boys Joseph (6) and Caleb (5). We have two wonderful twin grandsons Elias and Kade. We are blessed with a beautiful and loving family
We have recently launched a new ministry; The Way Ministries 146. The vision of this ministry is to reach the lost just as He did for me. This is an evangelistic outreach geared ministry. Our vision is to reach into the darkest places and bring the light of Christ. We go to prisons, jails, rehabs and juvenile centers where we bring the word and the truth and the saving power of Jesus Christ. Our vision is also to revive the church by teaching evangelism and street ministry and offering hands on training. In doing so we will bridge the gap between the pew and the street.

How we started...

Our ministry started in 2017 with a vision for Freedom House of WV. We ran a recovery home for addicts and alcoholics in our home in Augusta WV. From that a church was born; Freedom House Ministry Center. After having the church for roughly 3 years, God's call on Rob was just not being fulfilled. You see the called of an Evangelist can't be fulfilled solely within the walls of a church. Thus The Way Ministries 146 was born. We are currently ministering weekly at Eastern Regional Jail and Chick Buckbee Juvenile Center. TWM 146 has traveled to Charleston, Hunting and Buckhannon to preach and share at  rescue missions and recovery meetings. We have also traveled and preached in many churches all throughout West Virginia, Maryland and Virginia.

Where we are headed...

As we start the year of 2025 we are already expanding. We have two new juveniles centers, one in Martinsburg one in Davis. We have gotten offers to partner with Kairos prison ministry at Hazelton and Huttonsville prisons (where Rob was saved) to minister to the men there. We are also looking to get into Northern Regional and South central once or twice a year. We are believing for Worship teams with instruments, baptism tanks and cameras (to document) to be allowed into the jails as well.
We would like to start partnerships with churches to come teach evangelism classes. This will include classroom learning then hands on in the field training. After the initial training we would like to return once or twice a year for follow ups and continued education and training to help effectively impact communities.
Our heart is to see full on revival in jails, prisons, juvenile centers, rehabs and churches. In doing so our communities, regions and states will be affected, shown the light of Jesus Christ and set ablaze for Him.
